Forecasting and Planning for an Online Retailer

A popular online retailer needed to understand and project demand for nearly 30 million SKUs over multiple websites.

We implemented a large-scale forecasting process, using parallel processing techniques, to produce 28 million statistical forecasts in an eight hour window.

The forecasts, produced in such a small time window, allowed for daily decisions about inventory, merchandise planning, and financial planning.
