First Analytics at the UTA Oil and Gas Safety and Health Conference
We will be presenting at the 2021 UTA Oil & Gas Safety and Health Conference. Our session is entitled, “Add Predictive Analytics to Your Safety Management System.” The conference is a hybrid in-person and virtual event. It will be held December 14-15, 2021 at the Marriott Marquis in Houston.
This abstract for the session describes what we will be discussing:
Nearly all our safety data collection and reporting systems are backward-looking: incident reports; dashboards; compliance monitoring systems, etc. In an age where buzz phrases such as “big data”, “machine learning”, and “AI” inundate us, how can we distinguish hype from reality? Are there ways to use safety data in a forward-looking, predictive sense?
This presentation will demonstrate real use cases where organizations have reduced incidents by employing predictive analytics to foresee and mitigate future risk.
Though the conference is oriented toward the oil and gas industry, most of the content is relevant to any organization working to improve safety.
