AI Buzzword Bingo — This Time Created by ChatGPT

Five years ago we sarcastically put forth a data science “buzzword bingo” card for people to print to take to vendor pitches and senior management meetings.  It is still available here.

We thought it would be a good time to update it, so we asked ChatGPT to do it.  Here is what it came up with.

Create a bingo card related to AI

Here’s an AI-themed bingo card for you!
B I N G O
Neural Network Machine Learning Natural Language Processing Chatbot Deep Learning
Image Recognition Data Mining Predictive Modeling Robotics Reinforcement Learning
Speech Recognition Sentiment Analysis Virtual Assistant Cognitive Computing Computer Vision
Expert System Knowledge Graph Decision Tree Data Cleaning Artificial General Intelligence
Genetic Algorithm Swarm Intelligence Data Visualization Bayesian Networks Facial Recognition
To play, simply mark off any five squares in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) to win!

Pretty good!  But in fact, none of these concepts and technologies is new.  They were around five years ago, and a lot farther back in most cases.  It is the recent hype around AI these days that magnifies the chatter (excuse the pun).  There are, in fact, legitimate success stories around AI, including many found amongst our case studies.  But anyone looking to employ AI, including (and especially) tools like ChatGPT need to come at it with a large amount of skepticism.

To add to the chatter, we ourselves will be co-presenting with a couple of good friends at the upcoming annual learning conference of the Community of Human and Organizational Learning.  We’d love to see you at the conference, and at our general session presentation,  “The Current State of AI: The Good, Bad, and Evil of ChatGPT.
