New Books from Tom Davenport

Tom Davenport, First Analytics chairman and noted author and expert on analytics is releasing two books this month, September, 2022.

Working with AI: Real Stories of Human-Machine Collaboration explores worker-AI collaboration in real world settings.  By offering detailed, real-world case studies of AI-augmented jobs in settings that range from finance to the factory floor, Tom and coauthor Steven Miller show that AI in the workplace is not the stuff of futuristic speculation. It is happening now to many companies and workers.

Advanced Introduction to Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare gives a comprehensive overview of the current and future uses of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, and discusses the issues surrounding the implementation, governance, impacts and risks of utilizing AI in health organizations.

Tom first started writing about analytics in 2001.  His seminal Harvard Business Review article in 2006 Competing on Analyltics, which later became a book, was selected in August by HBR editors as one of their 12 favorite artlcles over the last century.
